The Institute for Kambo Advancement & Preservation (IKAP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing scientific research, conservation efforts, and ethical stewardship related to Phyllomedusa bicolor and its ecological and cultural contexts. As global interest in Kambo grows, IKAP works to ensure that research, education, and engagement are grounded in scientific rigor, conservation responsibility, and respectful collaboration with Indigenous communities.
IKAP brings together founding interdisciplinary partners — including scientists, practitioners, clinicians, conservationists, and Indigenous knowledge holders — to support responsible dialogue and long-term ecological & practical sustainability.

Phyllomedusa Bicolor conservation study
An Indigenous-led project that examines the impact of P. bicolor harvesting on local frog populations in order to establish sustainability standards.
KamboCon: International Kambo Conference
IKAP is hosting the world’s first interdisciplinary symposium specifically focused on Kambo as an indigenous healing art and science.
Indigenous Reciprocity
IKAP provides ongoing support to indigenous communities in the Amazon by providing resources and supplies to ensure access to clean water, medical care, clothes, food and education.
